Good Morning Parents

We are FINALLY ready to have our first meeting. Meeting will be held at the same location as last year (Long Beach Community Center) with a different time and day of the week. I have moved the meetings to Friday nights from 7-9. This allows girls that are involved with other activities the chance to remain in Girl Scouts. This also means that we will only meet every other week. I felt that every other week still allowed girls to have weekend activities (sleep overs) as well as Girl Scouts. This also means that I have more time to complete work with them and not feel so rushed.

Our first meeting will be September 23rd at 7pm. Our first activity for the year will be to tie dye troop t-shirts. I will need to know what size t-shirt your daughter wears. Parents you are also encouraged to tie dye a t-shirt as well. These shirts will be worn for some activities like corn maze, encampment, badge workshops, etc. It would be nice if everyone (chaperone's included) had on the troop shirt. I will also hold a parent meeting in the last 30 minutes of the meeting to conduct an troop business.

If your daughter is interested in joining the troop I NEED to know by tomorrow. Girls must be registered by Sunday evening and I will need time to place their information in the computer. When you email or call me please let me know what size t-shirt your daughter wears. If parents are making shirts I also need to know your size. T-shirts will be purchased with troop money.

Thank you and I look forward to seeing you next week.
